Hilary Duff and Boyfriend Matthew Koma Adopt Older Rescue Dog, and They're Proud of it!
The couple adopted the new dog from Love Leo Rescue in Los Angeles
Hilary Duff signed on to Instagram to announce some important news.
“Hey guys! We adopted an old dog. Thank you so much,” the Younger star announced along with a photo of herself and boyfriend Matthew Koma standing outside with a beautiful, bandana-wearing canine.
Duff adopted the dog from Los Angeles-based non-profit Love Leo Rescue, the same rescue that matched her with puppy Momo back in May 2017. Based on the hashtag #welovelucy, it appears the couple’s new pooch is named Lucy.
While Lucy’s age is still a mystery, she isn’t a puppy. Followers are celebrating Duff’s decision to adopt a older dog, especially since more mature canines are often overlooked at shelters.

This new rescue joins Momo and Duff’s other dog, a French bulldog Peaches. The actress said goodbye to her Bernese mountain dog Dubois less than a month ago.
