These caped kitties are looking for a home in Malaysia
While it’s the kittens who are wearing the capes, it’s a group of animal lovers who are the true heroes.
These baby cats and their mom were recently saved from a grim fate in Malaysia. The furry family was living in the parking garage of a Penang condominium building, until they were found. A pest control company was called to round up the cats and kill them, but luckily the security staff of the building stepped in. Not wanting to see the animals perish, the guards contacted animal-loving condo resident Cimeron Morrissey.
Morrissey quickly collected the kitties and is now temporarily housing them in her laundry room. The magazine writer did animal rescue work in California, and started helping the felines of Malaysia when she and her husband moved to the country. Since relocating, Morrissey has been helping to spay and neuter the stray animals around her building. She hopes she can find homes for her current batch of superheroes, so they don’t end up back on the streets.
“It’s really hard to find homes for rescued animals in Penang, even perfect, sweet little kittens like these. People just don’t recognize how amazing they are, so I thought I might have more luck finding adopters if I showed off the kittens’ super powers, and of course every superhero needs a cape,” Morrissey said about what inspired her to make the above video.
Anyone who knows cat admirers in Malaysia looking for new furry friends is urged to contact Morrissey about adopting these adorable kitties.
