Record temps in N.Y.C. led these two pups to seek respite

What else is there to say? It’s hot! So hot, that even the dogs – especially the dogs – need a break.

Instead of what they might usually do to a fire hydrant, these enterprising pups in New York City (where temps broke 100 degrees Fahrenheit on Friday) cooled off with a face full of water from an open hydrant in upper Manhattan.

Tier, an American pit bull terrier, got to hit the water first, while his friend caught a little bit of the leftover spray. As a record heat wave continues oppressively across much of the U.S., we hope you and your pets are staying as cool as possible!
