Hands Off! Your Pet's Favorite Toys
Will work for food! Owner Keith Cannataro (mrhoni) says his beagle Amy has learned quite a trick: bringing her toys to his feet for some kibble! “Amy will sit there with the toy in her mouth and look at you waiting for you to say something,” he writes. “Then she’ll drop the toy so you will give her some food.”
Stand back! Don’t even think about messing with this pup’s tennis ball: “Theodore wants to play ball – but only when he’s ready,” says mom Lisa Cheek (theodore). “Until then, he gets to keep the ball.”
Pug Chubsley gets playful with his favorite toy, Mr. Bang Bang. “They’re wrestling,” writes mom Nadya Schmitter (nschmitter). We’re giving Chubsley the advantage.
Now here’s an unusual chew toy – deer antlers! “No one is going deer hunting with Butterball around,” says owner Amanda Forsthoefel (alforst08). “She loves to play, chew and eventually curl up and fall asleep with this deer antler. Who needs string?”
When it comes to chew toys, Bruschi’s favorite is one that’s delicious and nutritious. “He loves his Kong stuffed with peanut butter,” writes mom Kelly Lovely (InLoveBruschi). Can we have a bite?
After a long day, nothing is better than a soft hug from an old friend – or toy! “Chippy’s chillin’ after running around for 20 minutes,” writes owner Krista Zupka (1chippy).
Bedtime? Not yet – Yogi won’t go without his cherished plaything! “This is his favorite toy that he sleeps with every night,” says owner Debbie Krajc (krajcd55). Looks quite cozy to us!
String equals fun for this kitty! “Barney loves any piece of string,” explains mom Amber Brown (barniferous). “So we decided to tie one end to our banister and the other end to his scratching post. Now, he jumps over it, crawls under it and tastes it, too!”
This little guy’s name suits him quite well – he loves to sneak and pounce! “Sniper loves his frog,” writes owner Melissa Guernsey (AsheNSniper1). “He plays with it all the time and then takes a nap with it.” Sweet dreams!
Hey, how about sharing? “D.D. has 32 counted tennis balls that say ‘favorite toy’ all over,” laughs mom Katy Knom (KAMMDT). Guess she must be pretty good at tennis – or fetch!
“Don’t even think about it,” says owner Suzi Schor (GYPZYGAL) of stealing pup Elvis’s toy. Consider yourself warned.
“This is my big red ball and you can’t have it,” says playful bulldog Parker. Hm, remember what mom Donna Butler (iamcamille) said about sharing?
“She has two favorites – this cow and a cat,” says owner Lina Chun (Chunli) of dog Skylar. “She just loves those ears!” How fitting!
Misty’s “100 percent favorite toys are her many flannel rugs,” writes mom Katy Knom (KAMMDT). “She just chews and chews until there is nothing left of them!” Who knew flannel could make such a good feast?
