Grumpy cat has something to be well, less grumpy about.

The forever-frowning feline joins the cast of the Broadway musical Cats on Friday, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The Internet sensation is the first real-life feline to join the cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical, currently starring Leona Lewis — but, apparently, famous firsts like this still don’t make the kitty crack a smile.

“Being selected as the first real cat to perform in Cats on Broadway is an honor. I hate it,” the cat said in a statement. “If I’m really being honest, I’d prefer to play the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera.”

It sounds like memories will definitely be made on stage by the Grumpy puss, who “will be worked into the end of the show and will become an honorary Jellicle Cat,” a spokesman for the show told the Associated Press.
