Odd couples come in all shapes, sizes and species – and this is one adorably mismatched pair.

Internet kitty superstars Grumpy Cat and Nala have teamed up to help Friskies feed needy shelter cats. To celebrate this powerful partnership and spread the word on how to help homeless pets, the two celebri-cats are hosting the Create & Taste Kitchen in New York City on Aug. 20.

Certified curmudgeon Grumpy Cat will be leading #TeamSaucy in a competition against sweetheart Nala’s #TeamTender at the event, where attendees will have a chance to pick a side and participate in feline personality games. Every time a cat lover tries out one of the Create & Taste Kitchen’s activities, a donation of one Friskies meal will be made to shelter cats nationwide.

New Yorkers looking to rub paws with two of the Web’s hottest cats (while also helping felines) can head to 1701 Broadway in Manhattan between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. EST on Thursday, Aug. 20.

But don’t fret non-N.Y.C. feline fans, you can still participate by sharing photos of your cat on Instagram or Twitter with #TeamSaucy or #TeamTender. Just pick the squad that fits your kitty best and post those pics. For each hashtagged photo posted before Aug. 24, Friskies will donate a meal to shelter cats.

Cats helping cats. Does it getting any better than that?
