Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz wanted to be a veterinarian. Her career aspiration to work with animals developed after some promising childhood forays into musical theater (she was singing at age 3). Ushkowitz, 26, who now has a puppy named Riley, had always loved animals, and thought she might follow in a veterinarian cousin’s footsteps. Or maybe go into marine biology –dreams change quick when you’re little. “I am obsessed with dolphins,” Ushkowitz, who plays Tina Cohen-Chang on the hit show, tells PEOPLEPets.com. “I considered being a marine biologist because I learned how to scuba diva and I love the water. I figured that would be good.” The actress even brought her dog into school for a project, examining her to explain a dog’s anatomy. “I was totally into that for awhile,” she says, but that wouldn’t last. “Once I got to high school, I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s not going to happen.’ “ Lucky for all Gleeks that it didn’t!
