“I was surprised at how many cats were cooperative,” says Dallas-based Julie Jackson, who ordered doll wigs “that were cat sized” for the feline models in her new book Glamourpuss.
Check out that head tilt! Chicken the kitty is “a born model,” she says.
Here’s proof that fluorescent is definitely back in style! “You always see dogs in costume but not cats,” Jackson says, explaining why she did the book. “There was a void.”
How do you get cats, like Romeo here, to be so chill while donning a wig? Jackson recommends a can of cat food before snapping photos. “That helps them calm down and be content,” she says.
“Skittles was so little she didn’t quite get what was going on,” says Jackson of this feline model. “But she had fun.”
Jackson shot Chicken the cat in a variety of colors because he’s “the most comfortable of all the cats.” Read more about Glamourpuss on PEOPLEPets.com.
