We’ve deemed these unmentionables totally worth mentioning.

A lingerie and resortwear company based in Hollywood, Florida, called Mapalé by Espiral is fostering cats through the Humane Society of Broward County’s Office Cat program, in an effort to help them get adopted.

According to the Sun Sentinel, who reported the story and filmed a video of the felines in the company’s offices, area businesses can foster one or more cats to give them more exposure to people.

The humane society’s website says that before the foster cats leave the shelter through the Office Cat program, the cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, de-wormed, treated for fleas and ticks, vaccinated, and tested for Feline Leukemia.

“The Office Cat program was designed as a way to get some of our shelter pets out of the shelter and into more home-type environments,” said Amanda Kruzynski from the humane society.

It seems the socialization these kitties are getting is working.

“We started because we wanted a cat at the office, to have a little companion,” said Cheryl Paradis, who works at Mapalé. “It went from one cat to two cats, and now one got adopted this morning and we have a new one coming in.”

Helping the cats find forever homes is why animal-lover Paradis got involved, and she said increased productivity at the workplace is a bonus.

“I think it’s just like rewarding,” she added, “to know that you’re helping animals.”
