Animal lovers, we are sure Feb. 7 is already marked on your calendars, not because it’s the big, boring Super Bowl, but because that’s Kitten Bowl day!

For the third year, The Hallmark Channel is treating cuddle connoisseurs to a day of fluff and football. Dozens of adoptable kittens will take the field to tumble around on the gridiron, score touchdowns and just be generally adorable. The big event will also include an extra special and snuggly halftime show where the feline players will be introduced to a team of puppies for the first time.

PEOPLE has a sneak peek at this precious game intermission, featuring curious cats coming nose-to-nose with friendly fidos. The Super Bowl should be taking notes.

You can catch all the adorable action during The Hallmark Channel’s Kitten Bowl III on Feb. 7 at 12 p.m. ET/PT, 11 a.m. C.
