Dreary weather got you down? Don’t let all that sludge wreak havoc on your style. We’ve found just the bling you need to beat the winter blahs. So before you strap on your snow boots and don that heavy coat, deck out your digits with one of Mandy Mansz’s animal-themed resin rings.

Via her Zougeebean Etsy shop, which specializes in “jewelry and decor for animal lovers,” Mansz sells fashionable, hand-made creations that feature fun mini-animal scenes. Among her bestsellers are baubles like her squirrel silhouette ring ($28); it’s like wearing a mini snow globe on your finger!

The entire line of jewelry – which also includes everything from rabbits to deer to fish – stems from Mansz’s passion for wildlife, which she says inspired her to create trinkets that enable wearers to “show off their pride for their pets and their respect for all living creatures.”

“About a year and a half ago I started creating little dog breed-based charms and zipper pulls for friends and family,” Mansz tells PEOPLEPets.com. “After I found out I could make my own molds I felt like the possibilities were endless. Now I come up with new ideas daily.”

Using silicone molds, resin and dyes, Mansz hand-crafts each piece, leaving no detail unattended. She often discovers ideas for new designs in unexpected places. “I frequently ask myself, ‘What is my favorite food? What is my favorite season?’” Mansz explains. “I love snapping shots of random and abstract objects and preserving them in a wearable art piece.”

She is also influenced by her own live menagerie: her three pugs, Bazouge, Aubergine and Cousteau; a “sassy” calico cat named Tiki; and lots of fish. And Zougeebean is a member of Etsy for Animals (EFA) and Artists Helping Animals, a group of 200 independent artists, craftspeople and suppliers that combine their efforts to provide charitable relief to animals.
