We were delighted to hear that the cat dubbed “Earless Ernie” after he was rescued from brutally cold Michigan temperatures with his ears intentionally severed off, has found a forever home. The Kalamazoo Gazette reports that cat lovers Ron Dundon and his wife, Dixie Edwards, officially adopted the silver cat, who had been awaiting adoption at a local boutique. The couple plans to bring the kitty to their Kalamazoo Township home this week. Yay for Ernie! The Associated Press reported that Ernie’s ear wounds are healing quite well, but he still needs to put on a bit of weight. We’re sure he has lots of full meals and love waiting for him at his new home!
