Dogs at the Beach!
“Two balls is actually nothing for Padla. She has been known to fit three in her mouth,” says Mary Shields (padlagirl).
Instead of cooling off in the water Blazerboy chilled out in the sand. Marette Willems of Longview, Wash. (marretek) says: “My daughter and her boyfriend took Blazer to the beach. He was hot so they burried him in the sand to stay cool !!!!!!!!!”
Dollar is an internetional beach dog. Margi Lopez (dollar) of Bellingham, Wash., says he was “enjoying a sunny afternoon at the beach in White Rock, British Columbia, Canada.”
Dogs love to cuddle on a hot summer’s day. “This was Izzy first time at the beach,” says Haily Windell (hailyw). “She hated the water but loved laying in the sand with Heather!”
Whether it is the middle of the a cold Maine winter, or muggy July afternoon, rain or shine this dog loves to be in the water,” says Amanda Gunter (amanda11) of Boondocks, Maine.
In addition to being an actual hunter, Fetch is a big ham. Keith Misener (mise01) says this is “Fetch, having fun at the beach!”
Is that the dog paddle you’re doing? “This is Ollie Mae at the dog beach,” says Ann Angell (twinace3). “She is simply doing what she loves best, playing in the water.”
SHADOW & JOLLY
It’s a beach blanket playdate! “Shadow Jolly are waiting not so patiently for a tennis ball to be thrown,” says Patrick Rogers (shadowdad).
At his first visit to the beach this little pug made some important self-discoveries. “He loved being in the sand and playing in it,” says Frances Shrimpton (princessfuuz) “but hated being on the sea! =)”
We bet the view is even prettier from your mom’s shoulder, Max. “This was Max’s first trip to the beach,” says Danile McMillan (mightymax). “He loved it!”

Sophie was adopted from an organization that rescues Goldens Retrievers. One of the organization members drove by a very pregnant Lab/Retriever mix tied up to a tree with an empty water bowl. She quickly turned around and knocked on the owner’s door. They surrendered the dog to her and Jennie was adopted into the rescue. She gave birth two days later. We were fortunate to become the owners of one of her puppies…Sophie. Sophie is a lab/retriever mix. This picture was taken at one of Sophie’s favorite places, the beach.
