Duck, duck, duck … dog?

Meet Dug, the rescue dog who helps his owner, farmer Matt McDougal, raise massive amounts of ducks on his farm in Canada.

McDougal tells Inside Edition that the pooch was trapped in an apartment in a big city for the first 15 months of his life, so being outdoors with the birds is a treat (not the kind you swallow, since all of the ducks seem to be accounted for).

“He’s the boss now and no one screws with his ducks,” said McDougal. “Plus he’s awesome to cuddle.”

The ducks star in the videos on McDougal’s YouTube channel, 50 Ducks in a Hot Tub, where his most recent video says he plans to raise 1,000 ducks throughout the summer on his private lake.

“I’m not a charity; I’m just one guy and a dog trying to do something different and sharing it with the world on YouTube,” he said.
