Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama Thank Fans for Support After the Death of Dog Buddy

Demi Lovato thanked fans for helping her get through "the most painful week of my life"

Less than a week after their dog died, Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama have reached out to fans thanking them for their support.

The singer posted a photo collage on Instagram on Friday, featuring nine pictures of her and her pup.

“We can’t thank you all enough,” she wrote in the caption. “This has been the most painful week of my life but because Wilmer and I had so much love and support, I’ve been able to stay strong and will continue to get through this difficult time.”

Actor Valderrama, 35, adds, “Thank u all sweet people that’ve showed @ddlovato & me support & love during this time & for loving our little guy (@DemisBuddy) We love u.”

On Tuesday, Lovato, 22, shared the sad news that her dog, Buddy, had died.

Although the singer has not offered specifics as to what happened, TMZ reports the dog was mauled by a coyote. Lovato described Buddy’s death as a “tragic accident” and asked that fans give her privacy.

“The outpour of love and support has been unbelievable and it means the world to us. Love you all tons and tons…” she added.
