This litter of precious cubs was born this summer in Germany, but were orphaned when their mother died shortly after giving birth. Luckily, zookeepers stepped in to hand-rear them in their mother’s place.

Four days old and already maxed out with cuteness. These mini pigs, named Sun and Ray, couldn’t get enough of the warmest spot on the lawn at the Little Pig Farm in England.

Twin male pandas made double happiness for the Madrid Zoo in September. The babies were the first pandas to be born in Spain in 28 years.

A loving mother wasn’t far from her 2-week-old chimpanzee babies at Switzerland’s Walter Adventure Zoo earlier this year. Like the pandas from Spain, these siblings were twins – extremely rare for chimpanzees.

Ehhh, water. This lion cub had an unpleasant but necessary encounter with the pool at the National Zoo, where the four 8-week-old lions took a swimming test to ensure their safety.
