A Guide to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's Ever-Expanding Pet Family
The couple recently welcomed two new birds into their household
New Twitter Competition?
The Teigen-Legend household is a zoo! The cookbook author revealed that the pet-loving pair are new parents to two "fabulous new friends" — birds Jasmine and Aladdin. Will the Queen of Twitter be out-tweeted by these two lovebirds? Only time will tell.
Mother of Dragons
Forget the birds and the bees — let's talk bearded dragons. Teigen gifted the reptile to son Miles Theodore in celebration of his 2nd birthday in May, revealing at the time, "I am now a proud bearded dragon owner!"
"I got him for Miles' birthday but I know we will share a lifetime of happiness and cuddles (well his lifetime) (maybe mine at this stress rate)," she joked. While she has yet to reveal the pet's name publicly, she said at the time that she would let Miles name him.
Luna and "bearded dragon without a name" serving us Meredith Blake in The Parent Trap vibes is a whole mood. 10/10 would watch this reboot.
The rescue poodle — named Petey, after the parakeet in Dumb and Dumber, according to Teigen — was brought to their attention when Ellen DeGeneres spoke out about a "dire situation" at The Wagmore Pet Hotel & Spa.
Petey "is a standard poodle and if he's anything like his dad, he will be the biggest caramel Gumby ever seen," Teigen said.
If this video of Miles meeting Petey doesn't melt your heart, we don't know what will.
Wet n' Wild
They grow up so fast! In April, Teigen shared a playful photo of her and Petey "being thirst traps."
Peppered with Happiness
English bulldog Pepper arrived on the scene in Oct. 2017, sharing a namesake with Teigen's mom Vilailuck, who is nicknamed Pepper.
Luna showed off her very-much-still-alive pet hamster, Peanut Butter, while French bulldog Penny kept a watchful eye over the duo.
Two years after Luna and Pepper first met, it's clear the pair are the best of friends.
Doggy Day Care
Same goes for Miles!
Teigen crafted a cookie jar in her French bulldog Pippa's likeness for her Cravings Collection at Target in Dec. 2018.
Earlier that year, Pippa was widowed when her husband Puddy passed away, Teigen reminded her fans. Her two pups were married in a romantic poolside ceremony in 2015.
A Touching Tribute
In 2018, Puddy left this world for "pup heavens." The English bulldog, whom Teigen and Legend got in their first year of dating in 2008, "welcomed new pups and loved on new babies and new bellies," she wrote. "He was there for everything."
"It's true what they say. We are their entire lives and it is the greatest shame that they can only bless us with a short spark of time in ours. I always knew I would lose a piece of me when he left us," she continued. "I feel the hole now. I will love you forever, my boy. My heart aches. Thank you so much for everything, everything."
