I snagged him and he’s such a good dog. They aged him at about one, he acts like a puppy, he’s got the energy of a puppy, he’s just such a sweetheart, he’s such a good boy. He loves dogs, he loves kids, he’s full of love.” The Captain America star is a self-proclaimed “dog lunatic” and says he and Dodger play, exercise and sleep together. Splash News Online “Playing with him is exercise, he’s exhausting,” laughs Evans. “He’s up for anything. God dogs, they’re such great animals. I really can’t say enough about dogs, I’m a dog lunatic. He sleeps on my pillow, you wake up face-to-face.” FROM COINAGE: The Highest-Grossing Comic Book Films of all Time! Evans is also vigilant about Dodger’s doggy hygiene. “I keep a very clean dog, I’m a big dog bather, twice a week,” he says. “We get dirty! We run around, he’s in the mud a lot, so yeah, I think it’s nice having a fresh clean dog.” For more on Chris Evans, pick up the latest issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands now.
