Ho Ho ... Bo? Bo and Sunny Obama's Best White House Holiday Moments
CHRISTMAS IS HERE AGAIN
As President Obama's second term in office draws to a close, we are looking back at some of our fondest memories. And many of those, not surprisingly, have to do with presidential pets Bo and Sunny Obama. These Portuguese water hounds are always ready for an adorable photo op, but they truly shine around the holidays.
This year, towering yarn clones of Sunny and Bo were crafted to deck the halls.
LENDING A PAW
But Sunny and Bo aren't just muses: these pets do their best to help out around the house, especially when the tree comes out. In 2015, they were at the ready for decorating duty.
Anytime little visitors come to the White House, you'll find Sunny and Bo nearby, keeping a smile on everyone's face. In 2015, the pups helped First Lady Michelle Obama (a.k.a. Mom) during a holiday-themed storytime.
The canines are always a source of inspiration for the decorators of the White House when Christmas time rolls around. Here, their 2014 renderings.
THE NOSE KNOWS
Before decorating, the pups also prove to be helpful for sniffing out the perfect, regal Christmas tree, which Bo did in 2011.
Even though they have a direct line to Santa, Sunny and Bo still go holiday shopping with their dad, like here in 2011, to make sure he knows exactly what they want.
LET IT SNOW
Some get frustrated and confused when a blizzard hits our nation's capital, but not Sunny and Bo, the latter of whom had a blast in the white stuff in 2010.
Obviously Santa has White House security clearance, which means the Obama dogs get some private time with the big man to go through the naughty and nice list, as Bo did in 2010.
