Canine Cannonballs! Your Dogs in Pools
50 laps! This pointer is exhausted. Natalie Garris (luvmy5dogs) says her pooch loves to cool off this way after a hot day.
Although Savannah looks like she’s having a blast, Julie Lane (chicky) says: “Australian Shepherds were NOT made as water dogs.”
It’s the canine version of the cannonball! “Madison will jump as high as she possibly can to make a big splash,” says owner Nancy Coryell (moonbeam) of her thrill-loving golden retriever.
Mom, is it true what they say about the blue dye?
All the dogs that live with Natalie Garris (luvmy5dogs) of Orlando, Fla., love the water – even Myer, who is just lounging poolside in this shot. Says Garris, “Myer is sleeping on the pool float. He THINKS he’s in the pool floating! Such a Floridian!!!!”
That looks like the breaststroke to us! “Oscar is such a typical Labrador retriever,” says Carol Vinzant (carolvinzant). “He loves any kind of water – the pool, the beach, doesn’t matter. He’s also a big sweetie.”
“Who needs arm floaties when you can have a giant sea turtle raft?” asks Diesel’s proud owner (diesel2009) Kari Harmeling. “This is Diesel’s first time in the swimming pool. Surprisingly he loved it and refused to get off the turtle! He is one fun miniature pinscher!!”
Long jump? Cassie Colville’s (cassiecollville) dog is such a show-off.
PEPPER & ROONEY
Pepper, the miniature schnauzer, gets a swimming lesson from Marina Trofin (pepper2) of Saint Peters, Mo. Rooney, the Springer spaniel, helps out.
Spiffy trunks! This stylin’ dog’s owner Rosanna Vargas (sebastian) says, “Sebastian loves his pool in summer time!!”
Hey, why can’t I dive into this thing? Terri Dranger (drangeta191), can we get some help for this pooch? The pool is broken!
Sometimes filling up the pool with water can be more fun than taking a dip! Just ask Rusty the beagle, who belongs to Kim Stewart (kimb3rlymarie). “He’d rather drink it than swim in it!” she says.
