Top dog Elliott, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and his able assistant, Milu, a Biewer Yorkie, strut around the modern hotel offering holiday candy to younger guests. Escorted by a human staffer, Elliott and Milu greet little fans at the front entrance and are also available for walks around the property, or to play fetch on the lawn.

The head host at this mountain hot spot near Beaver Creek is Bachelor, a friendly Saint Bernard whose partner-in-crime is Miner, a golden retriever. These furry ambassadors of holiday cheer participate in the hotel’s daily fire-pit-lighting ceremony, in which families roast s’mores and sip hot chocolate. The caring canines are available to interact with the kids and pose for pictures amid the holiday trees and beautiful decorations at the snowy ski resort.

The Fairmont’s new staff member, Edie, a white boxer-Labrador retriever mix, was originally trained as a service dog. She provides guests with a warm welcome in the lobby, where she relaxes on her cozy bed near the concierge desk. “Fridays and Saturdays during the holiday season, Edie will be part of our story time around the fireplace and Light Up the Night festivities,” hotel spokesperson Diana Bulger tells PEOPLE. Edie will also join families who want a pal to walk them through Pittsburgh in all its holiday glory.

Meet Bosco, Director of Pet Relations at the FireSky Resort & Spa. In his esteemed role, this cocker spaniel greets guests and oversees a school of goldfish. At holiday time, Bosco takes pictures with guests and joins them with their own pets for the annual Santa Paws event. Anyone staying at FireSky or living in the Scottsdale area can bring their family pets to the hotel, and Bosco will lead them to Santa for photos, treats and holiday fun.

Blondie, a golden retriever, received the AKC-certified Canine Good Citizen award at this mountain retreat, and for good reason. “To hike off the holiday pounds, Blondie will take guests on a four-hour Christmas trek through the glorious red-rock country with majestic views of the snow-covered mountains,” Alyson Marks, a hotel rep, tells PEOPLE.
