Buckle-Down, a small idea with big potential, was started by a college co-ed who saw seatbelt buckles as more than a safety accessory. Flash forward twenty years and the company not only makes apparel from recycled automotive buckles, but also bags, wallets and now pet products.

When we first laid eyes on the “Love Love” collar and leash from the brand, we were instantly reminded of the aesthetic made famous by The Jersey Shore. Emblazoned with graphic hearts and graffiti-style lettering, these accessories may have been created exclusively for the GTL set.

And as it turns out, Buckle-Down has a style for every breed of shorehound.

There is the “Love Love” design in bubblegum pink, clearly for the Sammi Swedish Lapphund in your life. And for the rough and tumble DJ Pauly Dog de Bordeaux, Buckle-Down offers the “Love Kills” version in (what else?) tan.

Regardless of which style you pick, these accessories certainly won’t break the bank ($24.95 for a collar, $21.95 for a leash). What they will do is boldly announce to the pack: “Labs are here!!”
