Just call her the Meower of Dragons!

On Saturday, Komodo the kitten was found crawling around the Komodo dragon habitat — hence the name — at Forth Worth Zoo in Texas, reports The Dallas Morning News.

The brave baby cat was spotted pawing around the prehistoric beasts, which can grow to be 200-lbs. and over 8 ft. long, by a zookeeper who safely removed the kitten from the exhibit and took her to the Humane Society of North Texas.

Miraculously, despite her time in the dragon’s lair, Komodo arrived at the shelter unharmed. This is especially astonishing, because the reptiles can smell other animals up to five miles away by using their forked tongues to “sniff” the air currents.

The zoo’s staff is unsure how the curious cat ended up in this predicament, but believe Komodo came from a feral cat colony living near the zoo.

While she is battle-tested, the calico cutie isn’t quite ready for the adventure of a new home. The shelter is waiting until the kitten gets a little bigger before putting her up for adoption.
