Bono the Havanese Wins Best in Show at 2019 Beverly Hills Dog Show
The dog took home the show's top prize after winning the Toy Group earlier in the day.
Today, the star of Hollywood is a fluffy dog.
Bono the Havanese won Best in Show at the third annual Beverly Hills Dog Show Presented by Purina, which aired on NBC on April 21.
The little canine beat out more than 1,500 dogs from over 200 breeds at the California show. Before taking home the top honor, Bono — show name GCHC CH Oestes In The Name Of Love — won Best in Group for the Toy Group.
Walking alongside him during this win and his Best in Show round was his handler, Taffe McFadden.
“So excited. No, you truly never expect anything, but this is a big show for us to win,” McFadden told PEOPLE of Bono’s big Beverly Hills win.
Bono plans to celebrate his success by relaxing at his San Joaquin, California, home and chasing McFadden’s cats.
“I’m going to have a glass of wine and head to bed,” the handler said of her own post-win plans.
Celebrating along with Bono is Colt the English setter. The sporting canine won Reserve Best in Show at the competition, which is the dog show world’s second place prize.
