Now, we’d like you to meet the “World’s Prettiest Dog.” Her name is Tea.

Tea is a highly-decorated Afghan Hound and well-known in dog-show circles, though she’d never found a wider audience until her pictures started circulating on social media. Tea’s owner, Luke Kavanagh, maintains her Facebook page, which is populated with the kind of beautiful images you’d expect from a world-class dog model.

Tea apparently did some modeling for dog food and dog shampoo brands, though she’s going into retirement, largely because the constant burden of managing that silken gown was a little too much for Kavanagh.

“Her retirement is due to no other reason than I reached a point where showing (grooming and show day) was taking me away from spending time with my family,” he told NewsLocal, “and I want to prioritize them over campaigning my dog.”

Of course, what would a post about a beautiful animal be without a sort-of weird quote to close the whole thing out: “Whether she’s naked or draped in the finest of silk gowns, Tea will always be my queen.”
