Watch out, it's a whole fleet of animal pirates, all dressed up for Halloween

PEANUT

This one’s got a touch of glamour in him! Albert Yaggi (tarheel) writes that Peanut “decided he wanted to be a pirate” after watching Pirates of the Caribbean. “He’s always stealing toys from his sister anyway.”

HANK

Angela Payne, who submitted her photo to PEOPLE.com, wrote that her dachshund Hank “isn’t a pirate, but he sure drinks like one. Rum and water, hold the rum.”

HOLLY

This pirate puppy definitely gets points for fierceness. Owner Ryanne Maguire tells PEOPLE.com that Holly loves to dress up!

KHLOE

Everyone always told owner Jenilee Casio that she should dress Khloe, a rescue dog who lost an eye at a puppy mill, as a pirate. “Her name is Captain Khloe, the strongest dog on the boat!”

TONY

Joan Peterson tells PEOPLE.com that her daughter Heather made the pirate suit for her dog, Tony. Look at that hook!

DJ

Don’t be fooled by 15-month-old DJ’s sweet face–he’s got two skull and crossbones insignias to let you know that he’s the fiercest pirate around. He’ll be flying the pirate flag this Halloween along with mom Veronica C (curlyv).

Looks like owner Ronna Asaro (ronadoll) dressed her Brownie in lots of brown pirate gear to match his name!

Erin Hallihan, who dressed her mixed-breed in red stripes, a hat and dreadlocks, also found a bird to attach to the dog’s shoulder. “The bird looked so real that she kept trying to turn around and eat it!” Hallihan said in her submission to PEOPLE.com.

COCOA

Not sure that it’s legal to have this much adorable in one picture, but we’re doing a pirate gallery, so we’ve gone rogue. Rachel Salazar (rsalazar618) sent us this photo of her two cutie pirates from last Halloween.

Duette Bennett (duetteb) armed her cat Cabbie with the only two things a true pirate needs: a boat, and a ferocious wig. Done and done.

DEOGEE

Seeing spots? Nora Griffin (deogee) dressed her spotted pooch as a pirate to match the patch on his eye.

Mom Shannon Marek (peinon04) calls Harley “our little pirate,” but this dog is sitting tall and keeping a lookout for danger on the open seas!

Dana Shickora (dshickora) dressed Otis in a simple costume: just a pirate hat. Poor Otis didn’t like wearing it much, but we still think he’s a winning pirate pooch!
