A future Super Bowl star is born!
On Tuesday, Anheuser-Busch announced a new Budweiser Clydesdale was born. Mac is the first foal to join the family in 2016. The tiny horse is already trotting around on four legs and will eventually grow into one of the giant iconic animals featured in Budweiser’s popular Super Bowl ads.
Mac joins a group of more than 160 talented Clydesdales. The beer-branded team of horses started in 1933, when August A. Busch, Jr. and Adolphus Busch gave their father a Clydesdale in celebration of Prohibition’s repeal.
This newcomer isn’t quite ready to run with the big guys. First, Mac has to learn the basics of being a Budweiser Clydesdale at Warm Springs Ranch in Boonville, Missouri.
