These furry BFFs are opposites that live in harmony

Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Nika and Loxi, two feline best friends whose personalities complement each other.

This adorable pair was first adopted from the San Francisco SPCA in 2008, but they were sadly returned due to unfortunate circumstances. They are so bonded that the shelter has been trying to find them a home together, which clearly hasn’t been easy.

Approach these furry BFFs and gray-tinged Loxi will likely be the first to say ‘Hello.’ She is the more outgoing of the two, and loves meeting new people since that usually means she’ll get what she wants most: a chin rub!

Nika is happy to sit back and let Loxi get all the attention. She prefers to watch from a distance at first, but once you earn her trust she’ll show you who she really is: a sweet, affectionate “lovebug,” according to SPCA spokeswoman Krista Maloney.

“Nika and Loxi have been best friends for years, so we want to find a home where they can continue to be together,” says Maloney. “If you have a quieter home and want a double dose of kitty cuddles, Nika and Loxi might be your perfect match!”

If you think this dynamic duo is destined to be yours, contact the shelter at (415) 522-3500.
