Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Parker, a 9-month-old shepherd mix currently being fostered through the Eleventh Hour Rescue in New Jersey.

Parker was in pretty bad shape when he was plucked from animal control in San Antonio, Texas, two months ago. He looked terrible and was suffering from demodex mange, an uncomfortable but very treatable skin condition. Sadly, his looks scared people away.

Over the past two months this pup has undergone an amazing transformation. His coat has almost fully grown back and is thick and beautiful. Parker is very sweet, gentle, and sleeps quietly through the night.  He is also very affectionate and sits patiently while getting brushed.

He’s having a ball in his foster home — where he loves playing with other dogs and kids, too — but he needs a permanent place to spend forever. To read more about him, to complete an application to adopt him, or to see all of the adoptable pets available at the Eleventh Hour Rescue, visit their website or call 973-664-0865.
