Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to extraordinary adoptable pets every week. Today we’d like you to meet Melo, a social 7-year-old cat who has rubbed up on a lot of legs in her long life.

The senior kitty came into the care of the San Francisco SPCA in February, and in that time she’s made it very clear that she wants to be pet – all of the time. So stop what you’re doing, and get on that now, please?

“With her soft, fluffy fur, she’s hard to resist,” says a bio on the shelter’s website. But Melo isn’t all pampering and no play: “Get her running and jumping and you can literally watch the fur fly,” the bio continues.

Although she’s not much of a cuddler, this gorgeous girl has a special blend of curiosity and spunk that would make her a great addition to any feline-loving home, especially one without young children or other cats.

If you think Melo is the cat for you, contact the SPCA at (415) 522-3500.
