Adopt Me! Scout Is Ready to Explore with You

The Australian shepherd mix is looking for an active owner to give him the training he needs

Home: Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary, adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Scout, a Australian shepherd mix available at the Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley in Hailey, Idaho.

This 1-year-old guy is ready for action! He’s fun, playful, and looking for an active owner who will direct him and give him the training he needs.

“He is smart and eager to learn and should be a lot of fun to work with,” reads his bio. “Scout has some serious herding drive, so a home without young children, and cats, would be best.”

The medium-sized dog would totally be up for a canine playmate in his new home, or frequent playdates with other dogs. If you’re looking for a smart, athletic dog, Scout is the pup you’ve been searching for.

“Scout will do best in a home with an adopter who wants a dog to get out and about with, as well as an adopter familiar with herding breeds,” his bio says.

If you think Scout is the pup for you, contact the Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley at 208-788-4351.
