Jenna is the perfect mix of adventurous girl and couch potato
Home: Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary, adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Jenna, a snuggly Staffordshire/American pit bull terrier mix who brings cheer wherever she goes.
Wags and Walks rescue of Los Angeles scooped up this adorable pup just before she ran out of time at a local shelter. A staff and volunteer favorite, she passed her shelter temperament test with an “A” for excellent.
“Slightly overweight at 64 pounds, she is a happy, roly-poly, marshmallow hippo dog,” says rescue volunteer Lor Fogel. “Jenna’s a true ‘People Dog’ — she adores us human types, the more the merrier — and would be thrilled to be the only dog with a family all to herself.”
Right now Jenna — who is believed to be about 2 years old — lives with two other large dogs, but prefers the company of her foster mom. She’s described as the perfect mix of adventurous girl and couch potato.
“She loves a good walk or hike and also loves to hang out and do nothing with her special person,” says Fogel. “Oh, and she’s a huge flirt. Be prepared for passionate cuddle sessions where she will snort like a piglet with glee. she likes to nibble on my ears, too. Did I mention she’s a big flirt? This girl can work a crowd like nobodies business.”
Treats, says Fogel, are also among Jenna’s favorites, “She loves treats. Not just cookies, but fruits and veggies, too: carrots, cucumbers, apples, even pomegranates. You name it,”
