Lifestyle Pets Adopt Me! Molly the Dog Is Giving Away Kisses The 3-year-old shepherd-Lab mix loves kisses and car rides By People Staff Published on May 13, 2010 11:27 PM Share Tweet Pin Email For every pet living with a happy family, there is an animal in a shelter waiting to find a loving home. So today, we’d like you to meet Molly, a vivacious 3-year-old Lab-shepherd mix we met through Adopt-a-Pet.com. Molly was recently saved from a shelter by the Penny Foundation Dog Rescue Society, a Canadian pet charity. She’s “a gentle girl,” says founder Alexis Adams. “She wants so much to love and be loved.” Initially shy, she’ll warm up to friendly humans – and loves doling out kisses to pals. “She’s an extremely smart girl,” says Adams. “She’s quick to take direction and very in-tune to energy.” In fact, she has a lot of energy herself – she loves to go running, and also enjoys rides in the car. Adams says Molly (who’s spayed and up to date on shots) would do well with a medium or large male dog, though she gets along with cats too. For more information about Molly, email Alexis Adams, Penny Foundation founder, at alexis@penniesfordogs.org. Founded in Canada in 2008, the Penny Foundation is a rescue organization dedicated to placing dogs from around North America in forever homes. Adams and her team of volunteers take dogs from high-kill shelters in the U.S., Guatemala, Cuba and Puerto Rico, and find them families near their geographical areas. The organization depends on donations to continue its rescue work, so visit its website to learn how you can help. Adopt-a-Pet.com is a non-profit that helps shelters, humane societies, SPCAs, pet rescue groups and pet adoption agencies advertise their homeless pets to adopters for free. We’ll be featuring dogs and cats available for adoption through the service once monthly here on PEOPLEPets.com. Meet more adoptable animals on PEOPLEPets.com:Adopt Me!
