Home. Some cats and dogs never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary homeless pet every week. Today, we’d like you to meet Jaden, a small feline with a big personality.

Sure, she looks like a cat, but Jaden acts more like a dog. “She is fascinated with water,” says Andrea Peacock, Senior Director of Operations for the Atlanta Humane Society. “She is often seen just sitting in our sink here in the cat adoption room, taking a bath.”

Unlike most kitties, Jaden loves getting wet. “It’s not unusual for her to be a little soaked by the time she’s through,” adds Peacock. “But she certainly doesn’t mind.”

The 3-year-old cat, who was transferred to the Humane Society from a South Carolina shelter in August, prefers to be around older children and wants to be the only pet in her new home because she likes to have all eyes on her. “She loves to have everyone’s attention and doesn’t like to share,” she says.

Give her your undivided attention – and a good chin rub! – and Jaden will be a very loyal companion. If you’re interested in giving this sweet cat a home from the holidays, call the shelter at (404) 875-5331 for more information.
