Lifestyle Pets Adopt Me! Holmes Needs Help Coming Out of His Shell The young pup is shy but affectionate with people he trusts By Amy Jamieson Published on January 2, 2015 02:00 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Holmes, a shy guy living at the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in Billings, Montana. Holmes’s heart is nearly as big as he is. Just under 1 year old, this 54-lb. pup is overflowing with love, but lacks confidence. He needs a person to help him out of his shell. “Holmes is a special puppy – he’s very shy, and needs a home with an experienced owner who is dedicated to [his] social development,” says stray canine coordinator Tiffany Smith. If you take to the time to work with him, Holmes will reward you with love, kisses and unmatched companionship. “Holmes enjoys riding in the car, giving hugs, eating French fries and going for walks,” adds Smith. “He does very well on the leash, too! This guy is so full of potential and deserves to find an amazing home to call his own.” If Holmes’s next home is with you, contact the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter at 406-294-7387. Before bringing a pet into your home, it’s important to consider your family circumstances and do your research.
