Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to extraordinary adoptable pets every week. Today, meet Sebastian, a 1-year-old cat that was rescued from a feral cat colony earlier this year.

No one knows exactly how this sweet, social boy ended up in a cat colony, where felines tend to be far less socialized. It’s believed he was somehow lost or dumped there, but in April he found his way to the Pound Animal Welfare Society of Montclair, New Jersey, and he hasn’t looked back since.

This playful guy has found ways to keep busy while waiting for his forever home. “He will hang upside down on his cat condo for attention and to play,” says Kristina Olszewski from PAWS. “He loves his feather toys and lives for his treats.”

This friendly fellow, who is litter-box trained, would do best with an owner who understands cat behavior because he prefers to be an only cat or paired with a laid-back female.

“He has such a wonderful personality,” adds Olszewski. “With that and his beauty he totally stands out.”
