Adopt Me! Deaf Cat Mika Has a Goofy Meow and a Loving Heart
This 2-year-old is affectionate and playful
Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Mika, a 2-year-old domestic shorthair who is beautiful inside and out.
This stunning blue-eyed beauty was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on Aug. 17 because her previous owner did not have enough time to spend with her.
This sweetheart loves to be petted, she will rub her face on your hands and lean into you while you scratch her all over. Mika is deaf, so she would do best in a home without small children who may startle her or with a family who has experience with deaf cats. Since she can’t hear herself or other kitties, her meow can sound a bit goofy at times, but that adds to her charm.
Mika loves playing with toys, especially ones she can chase and pounce on. She’d prefer not to share the spotlight with other kitties, so a home where she’s the only cat would be best. If you think this pretty girl is for you, contact the SPCA of Texas at 214-742-SPCA (7722) with her adoption number #128729.
