Adopt Me! Buttermilk Wants to Go Outside and Play
The friendly and energetic English mastiff mix loves water
Home. Some cats and dogs never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary homeless pet every week. Today, we’d like you to meet Buttermilk, a 4-month-old English mastiff mix who is currently living at the Fuzzy Friends Rescue in Waco, Texas.
Buttermilk comes from a big family – she was one of a litter of thirteen babies that her mother, Coconut, birthed at the shelter. Slowly but surely, many of the puppies were adopted, but Buttermilk and three others are still looking for their forever homes.
Friendly and adventurous, Buttermilk loves to play with her siblings, Meringue, Apple and Sugar. She also enjoys water. A trip to the beach would be a great summer excursion for this playful girl.
“She will be a big dog and will do best with an active family that likes outdoor activity,” says Becki Goss Shepherd, who is director of community outreach and development at the shelter. “She is already working with our obedience trainer and leash walking is just around the corner.”
If you can see yourself catching some waves with Buttermilk, contact the shelter at (254)754-9444. The non-profit, no-kill animal welfare group is a safe haven for homeless and unwanted cats and dogs. They are in desperate need of donations to fund expensive medical care for sick animals in their care. Click here to learn how you can help. Click here to meet last week’s adoptable pet.
