Home: Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary, adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Stripes, a senior sweetheart whose whole world was recently turned upside-down.

This gorgeous green-eyed boy was surrendered by his owner who adopted the cat when he was just a kitten. There’s no doubt Stripes is wondering what happened, but the beautiful boy isn’t letting the current state of affairs get him down. He has been at Stillwater Cat Haven in Anderson, California, for four months and has adapted well to his new surroundings.

Stripes has a playful nature and friendly personality. “He loves the laser mouse!” reads the rescue’s bio. “He also enjoys getting scratches on his neck and being talked to.”

It’s clear his previous owner really loved him. The neutered boy — who is also up to date on his shots — had regular vet care so he is healthy and has many active years left. Could he spend his golden years with you?

If the answer is yes, call Stillwater Cat Haven at 530-365-4861.
