A Feline Who Loves Staring at Herself in Mirrors Is Your Next Instagram Follow
MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL …
... who's the fairest of them all? It could very well be @Nico_the_exotic, an exotic shorthair from across the pond who is this week's #cutepic winner! This beautiful cat loves gazing at her reflection in mirrors, sitting in sinks and converting dog people to cat people without them even knowing it. "Nico is the friendliest little kitten," says her owner Emi Scott, who lives in London with the cat's dad, Paul. "From the moment we met her she was immediately purring and jumping up on our laps. She’s so friendly and turns any 'non cat person' to an immediate cat lover."
HER BEST ANGLE
"Of course she knows how pretty she is!" says Scott, when asked if the feline is aware of her stunning beauty. "That's why she likes doing all the selfies in the mirror with me, ha! She watches me put on my makeup, she also wears a little diamanté bow tie on special occasions." How does this feline stay so fair? "Her beauty regimen consists of her getting her entire face and neck dirty and wet from her food, then I have to wash and comb her cheeks clean afterward," she adds.
YOU GONNA EAT THAT?
Food envy happens a lot on this Instagram feed. "She loves ANY FOOD I eat," says Scott, adding that among the cat's other loves are TV, laser toys and being with people. "She loves sleeping on my face at night, and wraps herself around my neck like a scarf."
CHANGE THE CHANNEL, PLEASE.
A cat who is this self aware has strong opinions, too — and that means you'll need to consult with her before turning on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. "Nico doesn’t like being left alone, or any handyman that comes to the apartment to make loud noises," Scott says of her cat's dislikes. "She doesn't like it when I watch the Kardashians."
The 7-month-old kitty clearly takes after her grandmother, Bronte the cat, who starred in a popular mobile phone ad in the U.K. a few years ago. "She has also followed in her footsteps by [being featured] in New Magazine in the puzzles page," says Scott, who is a picture editor for the British celebrity weekly.
