It’s common knowledge that couples have varying degrees of difficulty when it comes to trying to conceive. But for Zoe McLellan, of NCIS: New Orleans fame, her attempts stopped at one.

“For me, it was a little bit too easy,” says the 41-year-old actress — who is a single mom to Sebastian, 2½ — in a segment for PEOPLE’s Mom Talk. “I went from not knowing if I wanted children at all to reaching this point where I was ready to have sex with a tree.

“That’s how badly I wanted to procreate,” she confesses. “Like, suddenly I wanted to be a mother. My whole body was screaming for a, ‘Child! Child! Child!’ ”

McLellan went on to say she met a great, charming man — ex J.P. Gillain — whom she told right out of the gate she was looking for something serious with because her goal was to become a mother.

“We got pregnant the first time we had sex,” she says. “Pretty fast and furious.”

YouTuber and blogger Mindy McKnight says she didn’t have too hard of a time either — she was only 21 when she had her first children: twin daughters Bailey and Brooklyn, who are now teenagers.

“It was very easy to get pregnant with them, but then later I had some secondary infertility issues,” explains McKnight, who is mom to six kids altogether. “I had a bad IUD after my third baby, and I wanted more children and then couldn’t get pregnant, so we ended up adopting.”
