Willow Smith: Behind-the-Scenes of "Whip My Hair"

Willow Smith pulls out all the fashion stops – puff-sleeve denim vest, chain-link grey leggings, zipper hair accessory and black studded boots – to premiere "Whip My Hair" on BET's 106 amp Park on Oct. 18.

How did she do it? Willow defies gravity with a heart-shaped braid sculpture that's anything but sweet from the opening scenes of her video.

Taking a cue from Jackson Pollock, the 9½-year-old takes blank canvas to a whole new splatter-painted level in the space-like OneZ suit ($99) by California Christiania Republic and all-white boots.

Willow has already proven herself to be a fierce fashionista. So why not mix punk and rock-a-billy? While showing off her slick moves, Smith leads the dancing brigade with a pink faux hawk, yellow tee, leopard print pants trimmed with fringe and white cowboy boots.

How many other nine-year-olds could match the multi-color highlights in their hair to their art-print knickers? Just another cool look for Willow, who adds on a chain-laden vest and double-layer boots.

In case you didn't get the point of her new single, the budding singer tosses her braids around for good measure.
