Daddy Groot! Vin Diesel Takes His Kids to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Premiere - and They Steal the Show
"This is a lifetime experience for me," Vin Diesel's son Vincent, 6½, told Entertainment Tonight Wednesday at the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 premiere
The 49-year-old actor, who voices Groot (now Baby Groot) in the hilarious adventure franchise, had a bonding night out with his son Vincent, 6½, and daughter Similce, 9, in L.A. Wednesday, where the trio attended the film’s premiere.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Similce and Vincent admitted being there with their dad was basically a dream come true.
“This is a lifetime experience for me,” said Vincent, who looked dapper in a powder-blue suit his sister says he picked out himself.

Similce, who also chose her own ensemble for the celebratory evening, opted for a white dress, long pink coat and tan strappy shoes, accessorizing with a red flower near her coat collar.
“I’m probably the most excited kid in the world right now,” she admits, to which her dad responds with a huge laugh.
Diesel asks his kids whether they’d love to see a spin-off movie with Groot and Rocket, and they nod their enthusiasm — in fact, Similce can’t help but jump up and down at the idea.

Diesel shares Vincent, Similce and 2-year-old Pauline with longtime love Paloma Jiménez. On Wednesday, The Fate of the Furious star spoke with E! News about how his oldest children are used to being on movie sets — but with Guardians, the experience was a little bit different.
“They’ve been on a lot of sets. What’s unique about this set is they were on it more than I was,” he said. “So [director] James Gunn would say, ‘Okay, I’m gonna tell you some secrets, some spoilers, but you can’t tell anyone — not even your dad.’ ”
“Zoë Saldana is a friend of the family, so she would take the kids to set while I was filming Fate of the Furious, because we were both filming in Atlanta,” he continued. “They would just have a blast and they would come home from the set and they had all these stories.”
Added Diesel, “They met all these people and got to see sets and got to see everyone in their makeup, got to see Nebula in her makeup and Gamora in her makeup and see fight sequences. It was a lot of fun for them.”
