The NHL playoffs are underway and the wives of two Anaheim Ducks are showing that they are team players in their own right! Caroline Marchant, wife of forward Todd Marchant, and Marie Claude Beauchemin, wife of defenseman François Beauchemin, both delivered babies on Monday, a day off between home games.

According to the LA Times, Marie Claude and François welcomed a daughter, Emily Beauchemin, via c-section. She weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz and joins the couple’s son Samuel at home.

Caroline and Todd, on the other hand, welcomed a son, Bradley David Marchant, following an induction. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 6 oz. and is 20 inches long. The following day, the proud papa — still wearing his hospital wristband — told reporters that “if it were up to [Caroline], she’d be at the game tonight.” He then mused, “she may come and not tell me because she knows I’ll be mad at her.”

It appears as though Todd knows his wife well: The newspaper reports that Caroline did indeed attend Tuesday night’s clash with the San Jose Sharks, with all four kids in tow — including the couple’s newborn son! There were no signs of anger from Todd after the game, however.

“You have a beautiful child, you’re in the playoffs. Life doesn’t get much better than that.”

Todd and Caroline are already parents to daughters Lillian and Ashley and son Timothy.
