The couple broke the news by hosting a sex reveal party

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are feeling blue — in a good way!

Spelling, McDermott and their kids announced that the newest addition to their family will be a boy by decorating a Christmas tree in all blue at their gender-reveal party.

“Well, it’s a tie-breaker … boys win!” says Spelling in the video shared with E! News. “We’re just going to have to have one more, then.”

The couple are already parents to their two sons and two daughters: Liam, 9, Stella, 8, Hattie, 5, and Finn, 4.

This pregnancy marks the first time that Spelling, 43, and McDermott, 50, opted for a surprise reveal.

“With Liam and Stella, we found out at the doctor’s office. Hattie and Finn we didn’t find out until they were born,” explains Spelling. “So this is the first reveal. We really wanted to do it with the kids because they were so excited and we wanted to do it as a family.”

The actress first announced her pregnancy in October.

“It was a total surprise,” Spelling told PEOPLE exclusively. “But we always wanted a big family. I’m really excited.”

“This baby happened at the best time,” Spelling continued. “Nothing is ever perfect, but I’m so madly in love with my husband and with our kids. The idea of adding to that is such a blessing.”
