Tina Fey's Daughter Alice Is 'Psyched' to Be a Big Sister
The mom-to-be tells Oprah Winfrey why baby No. 2 was a tough decision
Tina Fey appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show Tuesday to promote her book Bossypants and to participate in a Saturday Night Live reunion. But first she had to get something offer her chest – her baby news!
“You look great,” Winfrey asked Fey at the top of the show, “Did I notice ?”
“It’s really happening,” the smiling 30 Rock star replied with both hands on her baby bump.
Winfrey congratulated the mom-to-be before asking about Fey’s daughter Alice, 5.
“She is psyched,” Fey said.
Winfrey also brought up Bossypants, in which Fey wrote about agonizing over having another child, and asked her about the dilemma.
“You get to 40 and you think well, do I really want to do it or is it because I’m running out of time,” Fey explained. “And also because I thought 30 Rock would be cancelled by now and I’d have time to do this.”
But with her hit NBC show still going strong, Fey, who is five months along, says she decided to go ahead with getting pregnant.
“My husband and I really decided that we felt rather than risk having the show end in several years and feeling like part of our family is missing that we were going to prioritize our family,” Fey said.
