Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to Host Golden Globe Awards
The comedy powerhouses have worked together on everything from improv to films
Ricky’s out, Tina and Amy are in! Monday’s announcement that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards on NBC in January – succeeding Ricky Gervais, who hosted the past three years – left fans of the comedy powerhouses delighted.
Years before they costarred on Saturday Night Live, Fey and Poehler got their start together performing with the Second City improv troupe in Chicago. Since then, the funny ladies have worked together on projects ranging from Mean Girls to Baby Mama.
The awards, presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, will air live from the Beverly Hilton on Jan. 13.
