“I’m more excited to be a father, with Amanda as my partner, than I’ve ever been about anything in my entire life,” Sadoski, 40, said on Friday’s episode of Harry.
“I spend a lot of my time looking at this bump that’s growing inside of her just thinking, looking and talking to that child and going ‘You have no idea how lucky you are to have a mom like this.’ She’s incredible,” the Life in Pieces actor gushed. “I couldn’t be more proud of her for who she is as a mom already.”
As for how he’s gearing up for first-time fatherhood, Sadoski admitted that he’s got a lot of emotions.
“I’m excited. I’m also terrified. I’m not going to sit here and pretend like I’m cool enough to believe that I understand that what’s getting ready to happen to me,” Sadoski told host Harry Connick Jr. on his daytime show.
“I don’t know what’s coming down the pipe, but I’m thrilled and terrified and all the things I sort of feel like I should be and I don’t have any clue what’s going to happen, I can’t wait,” he continued.
Sadoski and Seyfried first met while working together on the off-Broadway show The Way We Get By last year, and began their romance when they reunited on the set of their upcoming film The Last Word. PEOPLE confirmed their relationship in March.
And on the couple’s wedding plans, Sadoski wants a small, intimate affair.
“Amanda and I are really low-key and we don’t want a huge big deal or anything,” he said. “We want to make sure it’s about us and it’s quiet and comfortable and family and friends.”
Sadoski’s interview airs Friday on Harry (check local listings).
