Thalía Says New Music is About Becoming a Mom
Becoming a mom to Sabrina Sakaë, 9-months, proved quite influential for Thalía as she recorded her latest album, Lunada. The 36-year-old songstress says that her daughter has given her a different perspective in more ways than one. "It changed my world, it changed everything," Thalía says, "When you become a mother, you understand the human condition…That definitely had a lot to do with the new music that I am doing." There’s even a track on the new album written for and dedicated to Sabrina, something Thalía says she was motivated to do because she wants her daughter to know "that she is a blessing in my life." She adds,
[Sabrina] is a blessing from God. She is a fresh breath. Just like the song says, she is my reason, my smile, my child of God.
Sabrina is the first child for Thalía and her husband, music producer Tommy Mottola.
