Celebrity Parents Talk Show Host Byron Allen & Wife Expecting a Girl The former Real People star and Jennifer Lucas "are so excited" By Ulrica Wihlborg Published on April 1, 2008 07:15 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Dale Wilcox/WireImage Byron Allen, the host of talk shows Entertainers with Byron Allen and Comics Unleashed, and his wife, producer Jennifer Lucas, are expecting their first child, the couple tells PEOPLE exclusively. “We’re having a girl!” says Lucas, 36, who is due August 29. “We are so excited. We’ve always wanted kids, and this is the perfect time for us.” The couple were married at the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles last September in front of 120 guests, including Natalie Cole and Eddie Murphy. Allen, 46, is also known for hosting TV’s Real People in the early 1980s. Lucas is a producer of Comics Unleashed. “Byron is going to be an amazing dad,” says Lucas. “He will be phenomenal.”
